MBF-P02 - Gundam Astray [Red Frame]

0

So, my first perfect grade.  I intend to photograph just about every step of it's construction.

This box is massive.  Absolutely massive.

Everything unboxed.

So I decided to make the sword first.  In fact, I may make all the equipment first.

Tang on the blade

The blade itself is plastic but appears to be chrome plated

So I made the equipment first.  Why not?

WHOOSH, UPDATE.

FEET.

LEG.  I've put together the armour for it, and I'll attach it when all is done.

Both legs and the pelvis completed.  Also Ball.

Guan Yu shall ride them into battle! (Move me closer I wan't to hit them with my Guan Dao)

I feel bad for not painting Lowe, but I don't have the paints.  I may return to him later.

The mechanism in the cockpit is good.  Pulling it down opens the hatch for Lowe, pushing it back up closes the hatch.

Guan Yu!

May work on the arms today.

MSZ-006 - Zeta Gundam

0

So it suddenly dawned on me as I was sat here wondering who's been visiting my blog every other day that I haven't posted my pictures of Zeta yet.  So here we go, some in-production pictures and the (current) finished product, as well as some nonsense from Simon, Adam and I.  I have a set of water decals which I haven't applied yet, so its subject to change. So without further ado, Master Grade 1/100 MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam:

Bonus:  Simon's leg and Adam's foot.

I even painted Kamille, albeit very basically.

While limbless, Virtue kindly helped out.

As did this small painted wooden duck.

This lemonade will be in every picture of Zeta, ever.

Move me closer, I want to hit them with my gun!

While posting this I realised I haven't posted pictures of Throne Zwei or Harute.  I'll do it another time though.

RX-0 - Unicorn Gundam (Titanium)

0

So here we are, 1/144 High-Grade RX-0 Unicorn Gundam Destroy Mode Titanium Finish.  That takes too long to say.  The beam sabres in the backpack were a major pain, and have therefore been glued on. This was a very fiddly kit, much more complex than I'm used to for a High-Grade kit.  Sprue gates were a pain, but I was able to cover the scratches in the paint with dabs of my Gundam White marker.

Look how shiny it is. <3

And that pile of sprues in the background is Titanium Finish Sinanju, which is going to take some time.

RGZ-95 - ReZEL

1

So, I was at MCM expo in London last week and picked up this Master Grade 1/100 RGZ-95 ReZEL.  Therefore, some construction photos follow.

I do love the fact MG kits have cockpits and pilots.  One day I'll probably try to paint them.

So there we have it, one ReZEL in all it's glory:

I tried to get it into waverider mode, it was not easy, and I was not successful.  I'll have another go next time I'm insane.
